With faith and love we implore you: favor your servant(s) __________ with Your love. Place next to him/her/them a Guardian Angel and direct his/her/their life (lives) on the path which leads to the fulfillment of Your Law: enlighten his/her/their mind(s) by an understanding of Your commandments; strengthen his/her/their resolve to do all that is good and righteous; enkindle his/her/their heart(s) with Your Holy Love and with sensitivity for the needs of his/her/their fellowman; forgive all his/her/their sins, protect him/her/them from all sickness, bestow upon him/her/them tranquility in time of sadness and grant him/her/them all that is beneficial in life, especially Your Heavenly Love. Be with them as they choose each day to show Your presence in our world. Give them the courage and desire to respond to Your Love and to Your call. Open their minds and hearts that they may proclaim Your Gospel of Truth by living virtuous and up-right lives. Hear us, O Lord, and have mercy.
Deacon: Again we pray, O Lord, embrace our young people, give them the courage required to overcome all obstacles in life, all temptations, which might plunge them into spiritual darkness. War In Ukraine
Deacon: We pray especially that our ancestral homeland Ukraine may be spared from invasion. May Your peace reign in throughout world, especially in Ukraine, so that the shedding of blood in warfare, violence, terrorism, tyranny, and all manner of strife may come to an end. May we become partakers of Your abundant life, together with all the saints whose lives have pleased You from the beginning, Hear us, O Lord, and have mercy.
Deacon: Lord Jesus Christ, you commanded us to love our enemies, and those who defame and injure us, and to pray for them and forgive them; You prayed for your enemies who crucified You: Grant us, we pray, the spirit of Christian reconciliation and meekness, that we may heartily forgive every injury and be reconciled with our enemies. Grant us to overcome the malevolence and offences of people with Christian meekness and true love of our neighbor. We further beseech You, O Lord, to grant to the enemies of Ukraine true peace and forgiveness of sins; do not allow them to leave this life without true faith and sincere conversion. And help us repay evil with goodness, and to remain safe from the temptations of the devil and from all the perils which threaten us, in the form of visible and invisible enemies. Hear us, O Lord, and have mercy.
Deacon: Again we pray for those who bring offerings and do good works in this holy and all-venerable temple; for those who serve and those who sing; and for all the people here present, who await Your great and abundant mercy.

No one bound by worldly desires and pleasures is worthy to approach, draw near or minister to You, the King of Glory. To serve You is great and awesome even for the Heavenly Powers. But because of Your inexpressible and immeasurable love for us, You became Man without change or alteration. You have served as our High Priest, and as Lord of All You have entrusted to us the celebration of this liturgical sacrifice without the shedding of blood. For You alone, Lord our God, rule over all things in heaven and on earth, seated on the Throne of the Cherubim, Lord of the Seraphim and King of Israel. You alone are Holy and dwell in Your Heavenly Sanctuary. Therefore, I implore You, Who alone are good and ready to hear, look favorably upon me, Your sinful and unworthy servant, and cleanse my soul and heart from an evil conscience. Enable me by the power of Your Holy Spirit so that, clothed with the grace of the priesthood, I may stand before Your Holy Table and celebrate the Mystery of Your Holy and Pure Body and Precious Blood. For to You I come with bowed head and pray: do not turn Your Face away from me nor reject me from among Your children; but make me, Your sinful and unworthy servant, worthy to offer You these gifts. For You, Christ our God, are the Offerer and the Offered, the One who receives and who is received and unto You we ascribe glory, together with Your Father who is without beginning, and Your All-Holy, and Good, and Life-Giving Spirit, now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.
After the prayer and censing, the deacon and the priest, standing before the Holy Table, recite the Cherubic Hymn three times and make profound bows.
Priest: Let us who mystically represent the Cherubim and who sing the Thrice-Holy Hymn to the Life-creating Trinity, now set aside all earthly cares. |
Священик: Ми таємно херувимів з себе уявляючи і Животворчій Тройці Трисвятую пісню співаючи, відкладімо нині всякі житейські піклування. |
Deacon: That we may receive the King of All Who comes invisibly escorted by angelic hosts. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia. |
Диякон: Щоб прийняти і нам Царя всіх, що Його в славі проводять ангельські чини невидимо. Алилуя, алилуя, алилуя. |
At Proskomedia Table
Deacon: Lift up, Master.
Lift up your hands to the Holy Place, and bless the Lord!
Deacon: May the Lord God remember in His Kingdom, our Metropolitan, His Eminence (name); our Archbishop, His Eminence (name), our Bishop, His Grace (name), always, now and ever, and to the ages of ages.
Priest: You and all Orthodox Christians, May the Lord God remember in His Kingdom, always, now and ever, and to the ages of ages.
The priest places the Holy Chalice on the Antimins and recites quietly:
The Noble Joseph took Your Most-Pure Body from the Tree; wrapping it in fine linen and anointing it, he placed it in a new tomb.
In the tomb with the Body and in Hades with the Soul, in Paradise with the Thief and on the Throne with the Father and the Spirit, were You, O boundless Christ, filling all things.
How Life-Giving, more beautiful than Paradise and more splendid than any royal chamber, Your Life-Giving Tomb has shown forth, O Christ, as the fountain of our resurrection.
The Noble Joseph took Your Most-Pure Body from the Tree; wrapping it in fine linen and anointing it, he placed it in a new tomb.
Then taking the censer from the deacon, the priest censes the gifts three times, saying:
Lord, do good to Zion in Your good pleasure and let the walls of Jerusalem be rebuilt. Then shall You be pleased with a sacrifice of righteousness, with offerings and whole-burnt offerings. Then they will offer calves upon Your Altar.
Priest: Remember me brother and fellow minister.
Deacon: May the Lord God remember your priesthood in His Kingdom. Pray for me, holy master.
Priest: The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.
Deacon: May the same Spirit assist us in our daily life. Remember, me holy master.
Priets: May the Lord God remember you in His Kingdom always now and ever, and to the ages of ages.
Deacon: Amen.

...Through the bounties of Your Only-Begotten Son, with Whom You are blessed, together with Your All-Holy, Good and Life-Creating Spirit, now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Priest: Peace be to you all. |
